Your KJ/DJs:
Laurel: Laurel has been performing since the age of 4 when her mother set her in the middle of the table at a family night supper at Newborn United Methodist Church to sing “Away In A Manger.” She was hooked on singing and has performed in musicals, The Conyers/Covington Choral Guild, numerous church choirs, praise teams, weddings and even on TV and downtown Atlanta venues such as The Marriott and The Grand Hyatt in Buckhead. But it doesn’t matter to her whether she’s singing alone in the car or shower – Laurel just loves to sing. She is always ready and willing to perform and no event is too small! One thing that sets Laurel apart as a professional vocalist is her stage presence and the emotion that she brings to a song.
Joseph: Joseph started out with a musical interest in playing instruments. At 10 years old his grandmother purchased a rarely used drum kit from the neighborhood Baptist church and his parents signed him up for lessons. Pounding out tunes from the “That Thing You Do” soundtrack was an every day occurrence in the Smith household. Joseph has gone on to become the drummer for the band “Projector” who have just released their first CD to rave reviews. Joseph also plays guitar and is a very talented vocalist. His harmonies are flawless and his charming stage presence is always a crowd pleaser. As a DJ personality, Joseph brings his own flair and humor to the mic and serves his audience their favorites with endless on-demand downloads.
Jim: Jim is a seasoned guitarist and vocalist that you can catch most often at the Friday evening happy hour sidewalk show at The Celtic Tavern in Olde Town Conyers. Jim has performed for over 20 years including musicals at Clemson University and campfire settings during his Youth Counseling days. More than just a talented musical performer, Jim’s effervescent personality on the mic always leaves the audience smiling and laughing. You can’t help but be drawn into his witty banter and just love him. One of Jim’s biggest influences is David Wilcox and if you listen close enough you will definitely hear that influence in Jim’s easy-listening and poetic style.
